All models in the Evolve series feature all of our design improvements including increased water flow, enhanced UV protection and a comprehensive 5-year warranty. For our Hi-Flow reels, the hose has a 5/16" internal diameter, whereas our 100ft reels are a 1/2" internal diameter. This means you will enjoy a slightly stronger water pressure from the Evolve Hi-Flow model, with sprayers and sprinklers reaching an additional 1-2ft radius compared to the Evolve 100ft version.

The main hose and leader hose have been designed as replaceable for the Evolve series, so that in the event of an issue (lawnmowers and curious dogs are common culprits) you may replace the affected hose rather than needing to replace the entire unti. Please note only a Hoselink Evolve Replacement Hose will be fit for this purpose, as the hose material is specifically engineered to work perfectly with our spring retraction and casing, as well as needing our custom hose end design to clip in to the unit.

A. The hose that comes in the Hoselink Retractable Hose Reel is specially-designed and manufactured to work with the hose reel. It is a PVC hose free of BPA, PFAs, and lead. The hose comes fitted with the appropritate ends to connect to the internal workings of the Evolve Hose Reel and as such is not appropriate for use if not attached correctly within the Evolve unit.

A. Our hose has been specifically designed to work in our hose reel. It is soft and pliable to withstand the tension required. Additionally, the retraction mechanism on the Evolve reel has additional rollers to bring the hose in smoothly without twisting which is a common cause of kinks. These design factors make the hose reel work efficiently, while also keeping it from kinking

You can attach your hose reel to an additional length of hose to connect the hose reel to the water supply. We sell leader hose extensions in two lengths (6.5ft & 16ft) and two colors (beige and charcoal) for this purpose.

Yes. The Hoselink Evolve Hose Reel needs to be properly mounted to a wall or a post so that the tension mechanism will work properly. It can also be mounted to our Evolve Fixed Ground Mount or Evolve Mounting Post, both available for purchase.

A.We recommend digging a hole at least 12" deep and 3 times as wide as the width of the post you are using. This will allow for ample concrete to set around your post and ensure a sturdy installation.

No, all Evolve™ Retractable Hose Reels come with everything you need to install and use them right away. That includes our patented leak-free Quick-Connect Fittings, a frost-resistant Comfort 8-Pattern Flow Control Sprayer, a stopper ball, a mounting bracket and hardware to mount your reel. The hardware pack also includes an extended Phillips head drill bit to make installation even easier! If you want to connect any other accessories to your Evolve™ Hose Reel, you might like to add a Hoselink Quick-Connect Accessory Add-on Pack to your purchase.

A. The Evolve Hose Reel uses a different mounting design to our Classic Hose Reels, further optimizing for strength and longevity. Your Classic bracket will not be compatible with the Evolve Hose Reel, but rest assured the bracket template / screw holes are a perfect match - so you'll be able to easily replace your Classic bracket without needing to drill into a new location.

If you have a Mounting Post or Fixed Ground Mount from an earlier Classic Hose Reel, you'll also need to replace that with an Evolve Series post or ground mount - both available for purchase.

A. The Evolve Hose Reel casing is a slightly different shape to the Classic model, and as such the Classic Covers will not fit the Evolve series. While we do not have an option available for sale at present, rest assured the Evolve casing has been further stregthened against UV damage and will maintain it's color and structural integrity through the harshest summer conditions!

A. Yes, you are able to use any existing watering accessories with the Evolve series by pairing them with a Hoselink Male Accessory Connector, or by screwing them directly to the brass ends of the hose.

A. For the Evolve Series, we brought manufacturing back to our headquarters in Sydney, Australia. This ensures we have total control over every step of the product development and manufacturing process, and that you receive the very best hose reel on the market.

A. For Evolve 100ft Retractable Hose Reels purchased during the limited early release phase, your hose will come with Hoselink Quick Connect Fittings fixed to the hose. These cannot be removed, though we will be happy to provide up to two (2) additional Male Accessory Connectors upon request to help convert your existing watering accessories to the Hoselink system.
