Product Info

An environmentally friendly way to water large trees and shrubs by delivering water directly to their roots underground.

The Hoselink Root Waterer & Soil Breaker attaches to your hose via the free Hoselink connector. As you start to depress the pole into the ground, press the trigger to release water. This will help the pole easily go into the ground to water roots.

By watering the roots of plants, you'll avoid wasting water through evaporation and ensure water is delivered directly to the roots.

You can also use this method to break up hard soil, making the removal of weeds or plants much easier.

The Root Water & Soil Breaker comes pre-fitted with a Hoselink Accessory Connector (12mm) for a quick and easy connection to your Hoselink fitted hose.

Special mention: We'd like to thank James Watkins for inventing this product.

This product comes with a Hoselink connector included for quick connection to your Hoselink-fitted garden hose.  If you are new to Hoselink then you will need to either convert your hose to Hoselink (we recommend the Quick-connect Garden Hose Fittings Set).

Better than expected and saves your back!

I tried this out on regular soil and pots, of which I have many. It’s very easy to use and lightweight. Concentrates the water exactly where u want it and I am sure it saves water. Pistol hand grip with a large plastic quick connect fitting, which really, really, really helps in quick change outs of different types of hose tools. Hoselink customer service has been great! Sure hope it stays that way! Would highly recommend for ppl who have back issues and can’t bend repeatedly, for those who want to save water and for those who like functionality and ease of use.

Thanks for the review. Sounds like you are getting some good use out of the root waterer!

Works but…

The root waterer works if your soil is soft enough to penetrate but with my hard soil in So. California, I had to drive an old golf club shaft in the grass first then poke the root waterer down for it to work. Took some time but got a 20 sq. ft. area done in 25 minutes.

Plants are thriving.

I just purchased a Hoselink system with a Root Waterer. I have only used the Root Waterer twice in the last month but have already noticed that most of the plants that I have watered with it are looking so much healthier and putting on new growth. This leads me to believe that the drip watering I have been using wasn't actually getting to the root zone. I am thrilled with the improvement on these plants in such a short time.

Root waterer

This attachment is absolutely fantastic! I’m short so I can use it standing up straight (5’2”). It help me conserve water because I can target where I’m watering. So great!!

Root waterer

It's been great to break through the surface crust to inject water down for a new transplanted fruit tree.

Works extremely well.

Moisten the soil, insert the wand, turn the water on and see the results. Worth every penny, you will be highly satisfied. I recommend any product made by Hoselink, and I have almost every product made by Hoselink!!👍

Love it

The root waterer is great. The handle is easy to use and it really does help break up the soil; even in my clay based soil. My pine and peach trees have noticeable growth since my purchase. I would highly recommend.

Great Product

Have new landscaping and the trees need to be watered. This great because I can set it and forget it as those horrible infomercials stated.

I was watering them every day by hand. This is much better. I time it at 15 minutes per tree. It works much better than surface watering.
