Retractable Hose Reels

Yes, you can attach an additional length of hose to the main hose on the Hose Reel, however, the additional hose will not be able to retract back inside the unit. To be able to join on the additional hose you will need to fit it with Hoselink's Hose End Connectors (also known as a Hose Joiner Set) at either end.

Hoselink Retractable Hose Reels have a 6.5ft Leader Hose already attached, this is the hose that supplies water from the tap to the hose reel unit. Although you cannot swap this leader hose for a longer length, it is easy to add an additional length of hose that is fitted with Hoselink Hose End Connectors. 

Our standard Retractable Hose Reel models are available in 50ft and 82ft lengths.

Yes, you can attach a padlock to one of the holes at the bottom of the pole that slides into the wall bracket. This will secure the hose reel unit to the wall bracket so it cannot be lifted off.

If you do not have a suitable wall surface for your Retractable Hose Reel, we recommend using a 4x4 timber post, four feet in length. Instructions on installing a timber post for your Retractable Hose Reel are in this simple video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bNw6U7UBBQE 

It’s completely up to you! It all depends on the length and width of your garden, the amount of flora you may tend to and the amount you're willing to spend. Each size is backed by the same great quality and functionality, and will service your garden as needed.

After watering, gently pull the hose towards you to trigger the built-in automatic rewind system – you’ll hear it click. From there the unified self-layering mechanism efficiently coils the hose back into the reel as you slowly walk it back in. Make sure not to let go, just to avoid potential damage if it were to drag along the ground.

Unfortunately, Hoselink does not currently offer an installation service. Our easy-to-follow, step-by-step instruction manual and online installation video will provide all the help you need.

Most definitely! Every component of the reel has been designed with the utmost care and attention to detail. There are no sharp edges, hazardous materials or parts that could be detached and swallowed. Yes! We even have a slow retract feature to ensure walking the hose back into the reel is as safe and easy as possible. It is worth noting that, as our Retractable Hose Reels are spring-loaded, the springs do need to be set tightly to guarantee the retracting mechanism operates properly and the hose retracts fully, which can make it feel heavy to pull the hose out. However, the tension within the spring will naturally alleviate over time and this will become easier. If the hose tension continues to be an inconvenience, feel free to give us a call and we can look into adjusting it.

Definitely. Like all our products, our reels are UV stabilised, designed to stand up to the hot Australian sun and all manner of weather conditions. To help protect it we recommend purchasing a Hose Reel Cover, which not only looks attractive, but it protects and extends the lifetime of the outer casing. Please note, external colour fading will not affect the reel’s performance.
